My boys school always collects Box Tops, hopefully yours does too! It's easy free money the school receives! Right now there is a special going on at Albertson's. When you purchase 6 Box Top food items you will receive 20 FREE box Tops. That's $2.00, plus every box has 3 right now! So get out there and shop away! Halloween Craft

So I started buying supplies to make the word "SPOOKY" in a very similar way to the "WICKED" picture, but each letter was 1.99 so that's 12, paint 1, ribbon 3...and possibly more embelishments...well Michaels has a small lettered sign already made for 6 and a larger one that hangs for 10 so the only reason to spend more than 15 dollars is if you are really excited to do the craft, otherwise I'd probably just buy one.

What is the BOO sign made out of wood? chipboard? maybe it's a bit cheaper. Just a thought

Just in case you didn't look at your adds this week here are some great dollar buys at Michaels.

Foam brushes (1") 15 for $1 (regularly .39)
Apple Barrel Paint 2 for $1 (regularly .79)
Spool O' Ribbon 4 for $1 (regularly .50)

I think these are great deals for "stocking up" I know I go through my brushes quickly so it's nice to have many on hand as well as lots of colors of paint. Happy Crafting!

So Mary and I were at Michael's and saw a cute Halloween sign using the wooden letters...this one was on their website so it has step by step instructions.... the one we saw in the store said SPOOKY which I like better. Just a thought for an end of September craft.

I think your board is very cute, are you making magnets to go with it? Either way I'm sure she'll love it.

Here is a picture of my finished board. You can see some of the bubbles in this picture but over all I'm happy with it. I was trying to price it all out for future projects and here's what it came out to be... Board 2.50 Paper 3.50 Frames 3.00 Ribbon 2.00 Vinyl 5.00 Door Knob 7.00 so that's a grand total of $23. And they are sold for 40 or 50 dollars so not too bad I guess for a large wall hanging...just need to buy the hanger still.

Cilantro Ranch Dressing

Cafe Rio has the BEST taco salad with the BEST ranch dressing!!! One of my friends e-mailed me the recipe for the ranch dressing , I made it yesterday and oh my yummy!!!!!

Here's the recipe:

Cilantro Ranch Dressing
1 buttermilk ranch dressing packet [make as per recipe with milk and mayo]
2 tomatillos [tomato like vegetable with a husk around them]
½ bunch of cilantro
1 clove garlic
Juice of 1 lime
1 jalape ño (Use the seeds too if you like it spicy. You could substitute a few drops of green tobasco for the jalapeno.)
Use a food processor to blend all the ingredients well. Refrigerate.

(If you don't have buttermilk you can use 1 cup milk with a tbsp. of lemon or lime juice and let it sit for 5 min) the buttermilk is for the recipe on the ranch dressing packet.

Yummmoooo!

Welcome
Today was a fun craft day!!! Thanks for everyone that came out, it made it more fun and super enjoyable, plus new FRIENDSHIPS!! The start up of this blog is to contribute to making many more craft days and to keep all the crafting ideas flowing within our sisterhood ( hence the name). So ladies lets start keeping our eyes open and coming up with some new ideas for next month.

P.S. this blog is for us to account for any fun stuff we do, great recipe to share, cute cakes that we bake etc... or even a funny "it happened in real life story"!!
